CAA Names Keay Rookie of the Week

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Freshman Cameron Keay has earned his second straight Coastal Athletic Association Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week nod following an early goal at Campbell last Saturday.

Keay connected on a pass from Kieran Radke 31 seconds into the match to give No. 23 UNCW the early 1-0 lead. The Seahawks remained undefeated in league play and were the first conference program to three CAA wins when Jake Roberts headed in the game-winner midway through the second half against his former club.

The Paisley, Scotland, native played a total of 146 minutes last week across two starts, including at NC State last Tuesday. The 6-1 forward totaled three shots with one score.

Keay has played all seven matches this season with four starts.

UNCW resumes its season on Tuesday vs. St. John's in a White Out game at 7 p.m.
