WILMINGTON, N.C. – The UNCW men's and women's cross-country teams have announced their schedule for the 2026 season.
The Seahawks open the campaign on the road at Elon for the Friday Night Lights meet on Sept. 4, with competition beginning at 8:15 p.m.
UNCW returns home Sept. 12 to host the 6th annual Wilmington Beach Blast at the Wilmington Municipal Golf Course. The collegiate men's 5K is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m., followed by the collegiate women's 5K at 7:30 a.m. The meet will also feature middle school and high school 5K and mile races. The Seahawks return to the road Sept. 18 for the Chanticleer Challenge, hosted by Coastal Carolina, before competing in East Carolina's Pirate Invitational on Oct. 2 and the Upstate Invitational, hosted by USC Upstate, on Oct. 17 to conclude the regular season.
The 2026 Coastal Athletic Association Cross Country Championships will be held Oct. 30 at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, N.Y., and hosted by Hofstra.
The NCAA Southeast Regional Championships are scheduled for Nov. 13 at USC Upstate. Qualifying teams and individuals will advance to the NCAA Cross Country Championships in Terre Haute, Indiana. The championship date and race times will be announced at a later date.
