WILMINGTON, N.C. – The UNCW men's and women's cross country teams will compete at the 2025 Coastal Athletic Association Cross Country Championships at Ocean County Park in Lakewood, New Jersey, on Friday, Oct. 31.
The women's team will begin the day at 10 a.m. with the 6K race, while the men's team will compete at 11 a.m. in the 8K. 
In their last race on Oct. 3, all eight UNCW women's runners set personal records in the 6K event hosted by East Carolina. 
Freshman Demi Nicholas led the way for the women's squad, finishing 19th with a time of 23 minutes, 12.1 seconds. 
Senior Chandler Coughlin placed 22nd with a career-best time of 23:36.20, while junior Claire Carmichael rounded out the top 25 with a time of 23:47.47.
In the last men's 8K race (Oct. 3), Griffin Wald, a junior, set a new career-best time of 25:04.14 to finish in 17th place. 
Senior Taylor Anthony was the next highest finisher for UNCW, placing 36th with a time of 25:48.89. 
Freshman Cooper Kovach took 43rd in his 8K debut, finishing in just under 26 minutes.
