D1Baseball Ranks UNCW 65th In Top 100 Rankings

WILMINGTON, N.C. – D1Baseball.com has ranked UNCW's baseball program 65th in its Top 100 programs in the nation, a biennial list that assesses each program's overall health in the current era.

The Seahawks have been ranked in all five versions of the rankings, including four in the top 50, as recently as 2024 at 49th.

UNCW posted its 18th straight 30+ win season, not including the shortened 2020 season, in 2026. Since 1999, the Seahawks have failed just once, going 29-27 in 2007, to win at least 30 games.

The Seahawks are the only program in the Coastal Athletic Association to compete in all 40 conference championship tournaments and claimed the crown on eight occasions.

Beginning in 2003, the program has advanced to the NCAA Regionals 12 times, including four as an at-large.

With the selection of three players in the Major League Baseball Draft last July, the program has produced 104 draft picks. Fifteen Seahawks have reached the major league level, including five this season.

The Seahawks host Duke on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in the first of four games this fall. UNCW visits UNCG and Appalachian State Oct. 10-11, before returning to Brooks Field on October 18 against Brunswick CC.
