Women's Golf Soars to River Landing Classic Title

WALLACE, North Carolina – Powered by four top 10 finishes, the UNCW women's golf team soared to its second-straight River Landing Classic championship on Tuesday afternoon at the River Landing Golf Course.

The Seahawks (295-285-294=874) cruised to its seventh overall team River Landing team title, 20 strokes ahead of Kennesaw State.

Redshirt senior Victoria Levy became the first Seahawk since Phu Khine in 2020 to win the River Landing Classic individual championship, four strokes ahead of teammate Minouche Rooijmans.

UNCW's Valencia Chang earned a share of sixth place while senior Hannah Altman finished in a three-way tie for eighth place.

Both Levy, who earned her first collegiate win, and Rooijmans topped the field with 10 birdies while the Seahawks totaled 34 as a team.

The Seahawks next travel to play in the Clemson Invitational in Sunset, S.C., from Mar. 21-23.
