Levy's Win Leads to CAA Weekly Honors

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW's Victoria Levy was honored as the Coastal Athletic Association Women's Golfer of the Week following her first collegiate win at the River Landing Classic on Tuesday.

Levy earned medalist honors at the Seahawks' spring staple with a 3-under 213 to help UNCW to its second straight (seventh overall) River Landing Classic title.

"We're so excited for Victoria to earn her first collegiate win after many close calls during her career. Equally impressive was her ability to bounce back after a tough final round in the previous tournament," said head coach Cindy Ho. "I am so proud of her resolve and being able to let that round go and refocus on this week. It shows her growth and maturity as a top player."

The redshirt senior fired off a tournament-high-tying 10 birdies, highlighted by a bogey-free four-under 68 second round in which she produced four birdies.

Levy broke even in the final go-around and finished as the only golfer to shoot under par for the event.
