Hoyer Adds Fenton To Volleyball Staff

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW Head Volleyball Coach Lo Hoyer has announced the addition of Tyler Fenton to her staff as an assistant coach for the 2026 season.

Fenton joins the program after four seasons on the staff at Lindenwood, serving in a variety of roles, including interim head coach of the beach volleyball program during the 2023 season.

"I am thrilled to welcome Tyler to Seahawk Nation," said Hoyer, who enters her second season with the program in 2026. "He brings an elite volleyball IQ and a relentless work ethic to Wilmington. As a proven recruiter with an innate ability to connect with student-athletes, Tyler's love for the game and his fresh perspective will be instrumental as we elevate our program and compete for championships."

During his tenure at Lindenwood, the Lions won the 2024 Ohio Valley Conference tournament championship, competed in the NIVC Tournament, had two OVC Player of the Year awards and multiple All-OVC selections.

Prior to Lindenwood, Fenton served on the coaching staffs at Maryville, Quincy and Eastern Washington.

Fenton will serve as the program's recruiting coordinator.
