Heidel Signs Professionally With VFL Oythe

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Former Seahawk setter Olivia Heidel has signed a professional contract with VFL Oythe in the second division of the Bundesliga in Vechta, Germany.

Heidel becomes the first Seahawk since Maddy Klein to play professionally. Klein inked her contract with Swedish club Engelholm VS in 2019.

In her only season with the Seahawks, Heidel played in 24 matches and handed out 547 assists. Against Elon, she doled out 48 assists and fashioned a season-high 17 digs against NC Central early in the season.
