Hoyer Adds 11 For 2026 Volleyball Season

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW head volleyball coach Lo Hoyer has announced the addition of 11 student-athletes for the 2026 season.

The incoming class, the first for Hoyer, who enters her second season leading the program, comprises six portal transfers, one junior college transfer, and four from the high school ranks.

"We are excited to welcome these eleven incredible athletes to our program," said Hoyer. "Courtney, Nadia, and Sam made an immediate impact when they arrived in January, and the entire group brings a fantastic blend of maturity, postseason experience, and youthful energy. I have no doubt this incoming class will help us continue to build a competitive, championship culture here in Wilmington."
  • Sam Vanda saw action in 25 matches as a freshman at Milwaukee in 2025 and finished with 102 kills, 89 digs and 31 blocks.
  • Nadia Wasilewski played her first two seasons at Wichita State. As a freshman, the Shockers captured the American Conference tournament title and advanced to the first round of the NCAA tournament against SMU.
  • Gaby Zovko began her collegiate career at Sacred Heart and burst onto the collegiate scene as the Northeast Conference Setter and Rookie of the Year and a second-team All-NEC selection. In her second season with the Pioneers, she earned first-team All-MAAC honors and was credited with 960 assists. Last season, she transferred to Southern Miss where she saw action in 69 sets and posted 450 assists.
  • Courtney Graham started 28-of-29 matches up front for Western Carolina in 2025. Graham finished fourth in the Southern Conference with 118 blocks.
  • Lauren Lewis played three seasons at South Florida before coming to the Seahawks. In her tenure with the Bulls, Lewis played in 38 matches. Lewis helped the Bulls to an American Conference regular-season title in 2024 and in 2025, the Bulls reached the NCAA Tournament as an at-large and played Penn State in the first round.
  • Lora Cole rounds out the portal transfers, having played at Tulane in 2024-25. She played in seven matches for the Green Wave.
  • Macon Butler comes to the Seahawks following a season at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colo. As a freshman, Butler played in 14 matches and averaged 1.95 kills per set for the Plainsmen. Northeastern finished third at the National Junior College Athletic Association tournament in 2025.
  • Lily Goyer was an All-State Honorable Mention selection at Lincoln Way West High School in Lenox, Ill., and an AAU All-America honoree as part of 1st Alliance Volleyball Club during her senior season.
  • Elaina Murphy was recognized as the Baltimore Sun Player of the year in 2026 and a four-time All-Conference selection at South Carroll High School in Sykesville, Md.
  • Addi Vaughn was a three-time All-Conference selection at setter for the Bulldogs of New Albany High School in New Albany, Ind. She handed out over 2,000 assists during her career and was on the AVCA Phenom Watch List in 2024.
  • Anna Harney was named to the DII Class A All-District Team her final two seasons at Battle Ground Academy in Franklin, Tenn.
The Seahawks open their season with Le Moyne College on Aug. 28.
