Women's Basketball Preview: at Hofstra

Tip-off moved to noon due to impending storm

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – UNCW puts the wraps on a two-game swing through Long Island on Sunday with a noon start at Hofstra.

The Seahawks dropped a 60-55 decision at Stony Brook on Friday as Kylah Silver poured in a game-high 21 points as UNCW rallied from a halftime deficit to enter the fourth quarter tied.

Hofstra, meanwhile, toppled visiting North Carolina A&T, 60-51, on Friday.

The Seahawks and Pride met in the first week of conference play with Hofstra slipping past UNCW, 54-46, at Trask Coliseum.

UNCW hosts William & Mary on Mar. 1, at 1 p.m., which will be Senior Day.
