Third-annual Olivia's Game will feature a Beach Theme

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW men's soccer program, along with the Olivia Knighton Foundation, is set to host the third annual Olivia's Game on Saturday, Sept. 13, vs. William & Mary at 7 p.m. at the UNCW Soccer Stadium.

Tickets are available for this year's game, which serves to celebrate the life and memory of Olivia Grace Knighton, the late daughter of UNCW soccer icon Brad Knighton, will feature a Beach Theme.

Proceeds will go towards the Olivia Knighton Endowed Scholarship, a men's soccer scholarship created in December 2023, that will annually be awarded to a deserving UNCW men's soccer player in hopes that Olivia's passion and ability to be a beautiful light will continue.

Sophomore Osei Gyamfi was the first recipient of the Knighton scholarship last season during his CAA All-Rookie campaign.

The UNCW men's soccer team will don special Olivia's Game jerseys that are available for auction. More information on how to bid on the game-worn jerseys will be available soon.

Seahawk Sports Marketing will distribute 500 teal wristbands at the entrance to the stadium bearing the quote, "Angels are Among Us. Be One," along with the Foundation's official hashtag #LOVEForLIV.

Children's inflatables will also be on hand. Free face and nail painting will be provided, weather permitting.

Olivia was 11 years old when she tragically died on July 19, 2023. She was an avid soccer fan who was loved and admired by all whom she encountered.

The Knighton family will be in attendance with Brad Knighton making an appearance on the game's FloCollege broadcast.

ABOUT THE OLIVIA KNIGHTON FOUNDATION
The Olivia Knighton Foundation, established on what would have been Olivia's 12th birthday (Nov. 3, 2023), serves to honor Olivia's short but beautiful life by spreading her light, love, passion, and kindness. It is the foundation's goal to enable children to follow their dreams and make the world a better place by providing scholarships and grants, spreading acts of kindness, and supporting the causes that were most important to Olivia: children's welfare, protection of animals, and education.

The organization's operating activities are conducted primarily by Brad and Britney Knighton as well as an extensive network of volunteers. It is governed by a Board of Directors who have fiduciary responsibility for the organization and provide strategic guidance and leadership. Currently, the Board is comprised of six members, including Knighton and UNCW head men's soccer coach Aidan Heaney.
