Keay Earns Co-Rookie of the Week Honors

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW freshman Cameron Keay has been named Coastal Athletic Association Men's Soccer Co-Rookie of the Week following his game-tying goal in Saturday's 2-1 win over William & Mary.

Keay's equalizer came five minutes after the Tribe broke the scoreless tie early in the second half. The Paisley, Scotland, native settled an Osei Gyamfi shot attempt deflected by W&M goalkeeper Diego Garciarena and fired his first career goal from eight yards out.

The score set up Bryan Miralrio's game-winning header three minutes later in the 62nd minute to complete the comeback and ensure UNCW remained unbeaten in 2026 and 2-0 in league play.

The Seahawks were the final team in NCAA Division I to allow a goal and received votes in the United Soccer Coaches national poll last Tuesday for the first time since August 31, 2021.

UNCW next heads to Raleigh for a 6 p.m. road contest at NC State, the 2025 national runner-up, on Tuesday on the ACC Network Extra.
