WILMINGTON, N.C. – The UNCW men's tennis program was named an International Tennis Association 2025 All-Academic Team, and five student-athletes became 2025 Division I ITA Scholar-Athletes on Monday.
"I am very proud of this team," head coach Mait DuBois said. "The character that they displayed and the success they demonstrated in the classroom is a great accomplishment. To do so well academically while on a championship run says a lot about the kind of student-athletes we have here."
The Seahawks earned the ITA All-Academic Team status, with a team grade-point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.0Â scale).
Augie Ballantine, Alex de Gabriele, Jordi Domenech, Trey Mallory, and Joseph Wayand were named scholar-athletes after having at least a 3.5 GPA (on a 4.0Â scale) for the 2024-25 academic year.
