WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The UNCW men's tennis team fell 4-1 to No. 2 Elon in the CAA Championship match on Sunday afternoon at the Mackesy Tennis Center.

The Seahawks claimed their lone doubles victory on court two as Lukas Steffen and William Dean earned a 6-1 win, finishing the season 8-9 as a pair.

In singles play, Steffen secured UNCW's only point with a 7-5, 6-2 victory on court one. He concluded the season 15-5 overall, including a 14-4 mark on court one.

Oscar Baumgartner dropped a 6-2, 7-5 decision on court four, while Jordi Domenech fell by the same score on court three. Alex de Gabriele suffered a three-set loss on court two, 3-6, 6-3, 6-1, as Elon clinched the match. The remaining singles matches were left unfinished.

UNCW closes the season after making its sixth consecutive No.1 appearance in the CAA Championship match.
