Altman Closes Out NCAA Charlottesville Regional

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Virginia – UNCW junior Hannah Altman closed out play at the 2025 NCAA Women's Golf Charlottesville Regional with a three-over-par 74 third-round score to finish in 38th place on the individual leaderboard at the Birdwood Golf Course on Wednesday.

Altman (77-74-74=225) birdied on two of her first six holes to start the final round and produced five one-unders through the three-day, 54-hole tournament.

NC State's Marie Madsen surged ahead of Florida's Paula Fransisco by one stroke to win individual medalist honors and punch her ticket to the 2025 NCAA Championships later this month in California.

South Carolina cruised to the team title and will be joined by Ole Miss, host Virginia, Florida and UCLA from the Charlottesville Regional.

Altman earned individual entry into the 2025 NCAA Regionals by becoming the first Seahawk since Phu Khine in 2019 to win the Coastal Athletic Association Individual Championship.

The Seahawks will conclude their season this weekend in Arizona after accepting a bid to the National Golf Invitational.
