CAA Tournament: Campbell Preview

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. – The Seahawks take on third-seeded Campbell, a walk-off winner against Elon on Wednesday, in the final game of the day on Thursday at the Coastal Athletic Association tournament. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.

The game will be streamed on FloCollege and aired locally in Wilmington on ESPN Wilmington.

UNCW enters the tournament as the second seed following a 19-8 conference record. The Camels, meanwhile, finished with a 15-12 mark in league play and earned the third seed by winning the season series against the College of Charleston.

The Seahawks dropped their conference series at Campbell in the opening weekend of conference play.

The two are meeting for the first time in the postseason since the 1976 NAIA District 29 tournament. That season, the Seahawks knocked off the Camels twice, 3-1 and 6-1, at Brooks Field to advance to the Area 7 tournament. UNCW leads 3-0 in postseason play all-time.
