WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW sophomore Madison Biddle has collected National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Mid-Atlantic Region Second-Team honors as announced by the organization on Thursday afternoon.
The first NFCA All-Region distinction of Biddle's career, the recognition continues a prosperous awards season that began with an All-Coastal Athletic Association First Team nod last week.
Almost one year after earning a spot on the 2024 CAA All-Tournament team as a freshman with clutch hitting and exceptional defense, Biddle cemented her status as one of the CAA's top bats with a .397 average, eight home runs and 33 RBI along with 22 stolen bases in 44 games.
The Egg Harbor Township, N.J., native produced 11 multi-hit games and drove in more than one run in nine contests. Biddle collected two five-RBI games, including the first multi-home run game by a Seahawk in three years.
UNCW has had 12 All-Region selections and at least one in the last five seasons. Biddle is the first Seahawk to make the regional second team since Peyton Jordan in 2017.
