Baseball Fan Guide: East Carolina

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW welcomes longtime rival East Carolina to Brooks Field on Tuesday for a 6 p.m. start in the second game of a three-game series this season.

The Seahawks topped the Pirates in mid-March, 9-4, at Segra Stadium, the home of the Class A Fayetteville Woodpeckers.

The two programs will play again, this time in Greenville, on Apr. 15.

UNCW's Cam Bagwell was recognized for a third time this season as the Coastal Athletic Association's Rookie of the Week on Monday after tossing a shutout against North Carolina A&T.

UNCW men's basketball standout Donovan Newby will be throwing out the first pitch on Tuesday. As a senior, Newby helped the program to a conference tournament championship and a spot in the NCAA Tournament.

This weekend, UNCW returns to conference play with a three-game series at Hofstra.
