Two Seahawks Tabbed Rookies of the Month

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Freshmen Hil Lindsay and Alex Tysinger were honored by the Coastal Athletic Association as the league's Rookies of the Month for October.

Lindsay posted a pair of silver-medal finishes with times of 20.279 and 46.03 seconds, respectively, in a dual meet win over Gardner-Webb. Most recently, he fashioned a pair of fourth-place finishes in UNCW's sweep of Queens and William & Mary last week. Lindsay's ranks third in the CAA in 50 Free and is fourth in the 100 Free.

Tysinger debuted with the Seahawks with a win in the 100 Free (50.95) and a second-place showing in the 50 Free in UNCW's win over visiting Gardner-Webb. Tysinger continued her success last weekend again winning the 100 (50.73) and taking second in the 50 (23.36). Her time in the 100 leads the conference and she is second overall in the 50.

UNCW has one meet left on its fall semester schedule. The Seahawks will visit Charlotte, N.C., Nov. 20-23, for the Fall Frenzy Invitational.
