Sistrunk, LaPata Head To AVCA Beach Nationals

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW's Gabby LaPata and Gracie Sistrunk will represent the Seahawks this weekend, Nov 7-9, at the AVCA Beach National Championships in Huntsville, Ala.

The championship features a 64-team single-elimination bracket beginning on Friday and concluding on Sunday. Several matches in the quarterfinal round, as well as the semifinals and championship final, will be available on ESPN+.

LaPata and Sistrunk, who are seeded 27th overall, earned an at-large berth to the championship and will be appearing in the tournament for a second time. The duo opens the tournament on Friday at 11:45 a.m. against Boise State's Ava Anderson and Addison Wolden.
