Volleyhawks Host Campbell on Alumni Weekend

The 2015 CAA Championship team will be recognized during Saturday's match

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Seahawks host Campbell this weekend, which will be Alumni Weekend for the program. UNCW will recognize the 2015 Seahawk program on Saturday.

UNCW (3-12, 2-4 CAA) looks to get back in the win column after dropping both matches at Towson last weekend. The Tigers extended their winning streak to 15 with the sweep of the Seahawks.

The Camels (10-5, 2-2 CAA) also dropped their conference matches last weekend, losing twice to defending champion College of Charleston.

The Seahawks lead the all-time series with the Camels, 36-19, and split the series last season. UNCW is 20-5 at home against its longtime rival.

Campbell's Maja Daca leads the league in service aces, averaging 0.66 per set. Hailey Heytvelt ranks among the conference leaders with a .301 hitting average.

Up front, the Seahawks look to counter the Campbell firepower with Marnie Ursem and Lilly Sullivan, who are both ranked in the CAA's top-10 in blocking. The Seahawks are fourth in the league in blocks per set (2.21).

The series opens on Friday with a 6 p.m. start and concludes on Saturday with first serve slated for 2 p.m.
