Forbes Posts Double-Double In Loss

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Hannah Forbes posted another double-double on Saturday for UNCW, but the Seahawks fell in four sets (25-18, 23-25, 24-26, 25-18) to host Elon at the Schaar Center.

The Seahawks tumbled to 4-19 overall and 3-10 in the Coastal Athletic Association. The Phoenix, meanwhile, kept their tournament chances alive with the win and improved to 6-18 and 4-9.

Forbes finished with a team-leading 15 kills and 15 digs. It was her seventh double-double of the season. Lauren Young added nine kills and Lilly Sullivan had eight.

Coley Shifflet collected a match-high and career-best 22 digs for the Seahawks.

Elon's Anna Sewell led all hitters with 16 kills.

Sunday's match is set for 3 p.m.
