WILMINGTON, N.C. – Alex de Gabriele and Jordi Domenech of UNCW men's tennis will compete in doubles at the 2025 International Tennis Association Division I East Sectional Championships in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, from Nov. 6-9.

The Seahawks' duo was named one of the top-performing doubles teams in the Carolina region and will compete in the 32-team sectional tournament at the Chewning Tennis Center. 

The 2025 ITA East Sectional Championships will consist of teams from the Atlantic, Carolina, New England & Northeast regions. The top three finishing teams from the sectional championships advance to the NCAA tournament.

Earlier this month, de Gabriele and Domenech were also named the Coastal Athletic Association's automatic qualifier for the 2025 International Tennis Association Conference Masters in San Diego. 

For de Gabriele, it marks the second straight season in which he qualified for the conference masters.

On Oct. 19, de Gabriele and Domenech reached the semifinals of the 2025 ITA Regional Championships, posting a 4-1 record at the tournament. 

During the fall, de Gabriele and Domenech compiled an 8-4 record, highlighted by wins against members of the Virginia Tech and Wake Forest teams.
