Woods Elevates Taylor to Director of Operations

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW women's basketball Head Coach Nicole Woods has elevated program assistant Madison Taylor to the Seahawks' Director of Operations role for the 2024-25 season.

Taylor joined the women's basketball program in June 2023 and spent last season as a critical aid for Woods in her first season in the Port City.

Taylor's primary duties as Director of Operations will include overseeing all operational logistics while executing a comprehensive academic and athletic plan to ensure student-athlete and program success.

As program assistant, Taylor assisted the Seahawks on multiple fronts including travel, team calendar, special events, social media, and community service.

"Madison is the epitome of a servant leader. She wore many different hats last season and excelled in them all," said Woods. "She wasn't given this promotion, she earned it. We are grateful to still have her!"

A four-year letter winner for Charleston, Taylor made 101 appearances, including 52 starts, during her playing career in the Lowcountry. She averaged 4.7 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 20.9 minutes across her four seasons.

Taylor enjoyed her best season as a sophomore in 2019-20. The Raleigh, N.C., native averaged 6.7 markers, dished out 37 assists and collected 41 steals, the third-highest on the team.

Taylor graduated from Charleston with a bachelor's degree in Public Health in 2022. She later earned a master's degree from VCU's Center for Sport Leadership in 2023.
