UNCW Earns Second-Seed In SBC Championship Tournament

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW heads to Huntsville, Ala., this week for the Sun Belt Conference Championship Tournament as the number two seed after posting a 19-10 record overall and 10-3 against conference members.

The Seahawks open the double-elimination tournament on Apr. 25 at 1 p.m. EST against seventh-seeded Louisiana Monroe (14-17, 1-5 SBC). UNCW and the Warhawks met once this season with the Seahawks taking a close dual, 3-2.

Nationally-ranked and defending champion Georgia State is the number one seed. Rounding out the top five are Coastal Carolina (24-8, 8-2), which is third and followed by Charleston and Mercer.
