Softball Preview: Coastal Carolina

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW softball team hosts Coastal Carolina for midweek non-conference softball action on Wednesday at 4 p.m.  (NEW TIME) at Boseman Field.

The midweek matchup can be streamed on FloSoftball with Live Stats available on UNCWStats.com.

The Seahawks (9-8) return home ahead of Coastal Athletic Association play starting this weekend at Hampton. The Chanticleers (12-6) are coming off a 5-1 weekend at their home tournament.

UNCW went 1-2 in its final weekend tournament last Saturday and Sunday at Charlotte. The Seahawks road a season-high eight strikeout performance by junior Emily Winstead to a 2-0 win over Fordham before dropping games to nationally-ranked Kentucky and the host 49ers to close out the weekend.

Graduate shortstop Mary Sobataka carries a 10-game reached base streak into Wednesday. Graduate outfielder Skylar Stockton, meanwhile, leads the team with a .375 batting average and ranks second on the team with 15 hits.
