Isley Leads UNCW To Sixth-Place Finish

Seahawk senior posts 17th career top-10 finish

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Walker Isley's three-under-par 69 in the third round lifted him into another top-10 finish and helped UNCW take sixth place on Monday at the Seahawk Intercollegiate.

Top-ranked Auburn (300-287-288=875) won its sixth tournament of the season, posting a seven-stroke victory over Stetson. Davidson, VCU and Campbell rounded out the top five.

Campbell's Erik Johansson (71-71-66=208) earned medalist honors by two strokes over Auburn's Jackson Koivun (72-70-68=210), who was ranked fifth nationally entering the tournament.

For Isley (76-72-69=217), it was his sixth top-10 finish of the season and the 17th of his career. Isley played the front nine at two-over, but he rallied on the back nine playing at five-under.

Ryan O'Neil (76-75-70=221) finished 17th as a Seahawk individual.

UNCW visits Nashville, Tenn., for its final test before the Coastal Athletic Association championship on Apr. 5-7 at the Mason Rudolph Championship.
