Seahawks Open Spring at UCF Challenge

)ORLANDO, Florida – UNCW's Victoria Levy and Mallory Fobes led the Seahawks women's golf program as they closed out three days of play at the UCF Challenge at the Eagle Creek Country Club.

Levy (69-69-76=214) finished with a share of 18th place in UNCW's spring debut. Fobes (72-73-70=215) concluded the event tied for 21st for the Seahawks.

UNCW (290-286-296=872) tied for 12th place with North Texas in the 18-team field. North Carolina (279-280-287=846) claimed the team title, five strokes ahead of Kansas while Texas Tech's Lauren Zaretsky was the individual medalist.

Fobes authored 11 birdies while Levy and senior Nicole Adam each collected 10 one-unders. The Seahawk team totals 41 birdies.

UNCW is idle until the end of the month when it participates in the Wisconsin Westbrook Invitational from Feb. 25-27 in Peoria, Ariz.
