Faieta Earns CAA Golfer of the Week

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The Coastal Athletic Association has tabbed Alexis Faieta as Women's Golfer of the Week after the freshman tied for 12th place at the Clemson Invitational last weekend.

Faieta authored a 72-70-73=215 scorecard over the three-day event as the Seahawks tied No. 18 Ole Miss for ninth place while finishing ahead of No. 44 Clemson (11th) and No. 30 LSU (14th).

The Tujunga, Calif., native, who led the Seahawks with eight birdies, was aided by a two-under 70 second-round score on Saturday.

UNCW resumes its season at the North Carolina Challenge Cup on April 4.
