MBB Fan Guide: Live Oank Bank Holiday Classic

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW men's basketball team hosts Appalachian State, Colgate and Sam Houston for the inaugural Live Oak Bank Holiday Classic over Thanksgiving weekend with six games slated from Nov. 27-30 at Trask Coliseum.

LAST TIME OUT
UNCW's Khamari McGriff and Noah Ross scored a combined 28 points in the Seahawks' 84-66 setback at No. 1 Kansas on Nov. 19 at Allen Fieldhouse.

McGriff led all scorers with 18 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field to go with seven rebounds. Ross narrowly missed his first career double-double with a 10-point, nine-rebound effort.

SCOUTING THE FIELD
Colgate: The Raiders enter the Holiday Classic looking to snap a four-game losing skid that includes losses at CAA opponent Drexel as well as ACC setbacks at Syracuse and NC State. The defending Patriot League Champions went 25-10 last season and were projected first in the Patriot League this season.

Sam Houston: The Bearkats have won their last two games following a 105-78 win over Trinity (TX) last Thursday. Sam Houston, 21-12 one year ago, was picked to finish third in the Conference USA Preseason Poll.

App State: The Mountaineers won their previous two games, including a narrow 79-76 victory vs. William & Mary on Sunday. App State (27-7 in 2023-24) won the Sun Belt regular season title last year and was picked to finish sixth in the conference this season.

The Seahawks renew their regional rivalry with East Carolina on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m. in Greenville, N.C.
