Live Oak Bank Holiday Classic Returns in 2026

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The Live Oak Bank Holiday Classic returns to Trask Coliseum for the 2026-27 season, featuring a strong field including the host UNCW men's basketball team, Liberty, Princeton and St. Thomas (Minnesota) over Thanksgiving Weekend.

The round-robin event will take place from Nov. 25-28 at Trask Coliseum. The action starts on Wednesday, Nov. 25, with two games, before returning with a pair of games on both Nov. 27 and 28.

This year's field includes a foursome that won a combined 86 games in 2025-26, including a total of 49 conference victories. Three of the schools - UNCW, Liberty and St. Thomas - earned entry to the 2026 National Invitation Tournament, with the Seahawks and Flames advancing to the NIT Second Round.

UNCW and Liberty were the regular season champions of the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) and Conference USA, respectively. The Seahawks are 4-0 all-time against the Flames, including a 73-70 overtime victory in Trask when the programs last met on Dec. 17, 2014.

The Seahawks and Tigers last competed in a home-and-home series in 1997 and 1998 with Princeton earning victories in both contests, including an overtime win in UNCW's 1998-99 home opener.

This is the first time the Seahawks will tip off against the Tommies.

UNCW previously learned its CAA home-and-away opponents for the 2026-27 campaign.

Live Oak Bank has sponsored the tournament since its inception and is a supporter of UNCW Athletics and academics. Live Oak Bank (NYSE: LOB) is headquartered in Wilmington and employs hundreds of UNCW alumni at its campus just miles from the university.

The third edition of the popular Live Oak Bank Holiday Classic is included in all UNCW men's basketball 2026-27 season ticket packages. Single-game tickets for the holiday event will go on sale at a later date.

Full season tickets will go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, June 23, at 10 a.m.
