Wayand, de Gabriele Power Into ITA Quarters

CARY, N.C. – UNCW's Joseph Wayand and Alex de Gabriele rattled off a pair of wins on Saturday to advance to the quarterfinals of the doubles bracket of the ITA Carolina Regional at the Cary Tennis Park.

Wayand and de Gabriele won their second round match against Duke's Remi Dugardin and Teddy Truwit, 8-7 (7-4). The duo continued its roll to the quarterfinals with an impressive win, 8-4, over Charlotte's ninth-ranked tandem of Vasco Prata and Iturbe.

Next up for Wayand and de Gabriele is a 1 p.m. start against Duke's Theo Winegar and Sam Landau.
