Isley Takes Third At Rod Myers Intercollegiate

DURHAM, N.C. – Walker Isley, a senior, posted his 10th career top-five finish as UNCW placed fourth at the Rod Myers Intercollegiate on Monday at the Duke University Golf Club.

Host and 33rd-ranked Duke won the event by five strokes over 34th-ranked Louisville. The Seahawks finished three strokes behind NC State for third.

Sebastian Moss of Louisville earned medalist honors, finishing 11-under for the tournament and three strokes ahead of UNCG's Randall Hudson.

Isley (69-71-71=211) tied Luke Sample of Duke for third to lead the Seahawks. Patrick Sparks (71-72-75-=218) added a top-20 finish placing 18th at two-over.

The Seahawks return to the course Oct. 9-10 when they stay in town and compete in the Williams Cup presented by Stritch Golf. The three-round tournament, which is hosted by the Eagle Point Golf Club, kicks off with 36 holes the first day and wraps up with a single round the following day.
