Women's Soccer Preview: Liberty

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW women's soccer team returns to action on Sunday at 1 p.m. when it hosts Liberty at the UNCW Soccer Stadium.

The Seahawks (0-2) look to rebound following a pair of setbacks to start the season. The Lady Flames stand 3-0 after opening the season with wins over VCU, Delaware and Tennessee Tech.

UNCW has averaged seven shots per game through the season's first week. Senior forward McKenna Gardner paces the Seahawks with five shots, including two on goal.

Up next, UNCW hits the road for the second time in 2023 when it travels to regional rival East Carolina for a Thursday night contest at 7 p.m. in Greenville.
