Women's Soccer Releases 2023 Schedule

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The 2023 UNCW women's soccer schedule, featuring nine regular season home matches at UNCW Soccer Stadium, has been announced by Head Coach Chris Neal.

The Seahawks open the 17-game regular season slate on the road on Aug. 17 at Coastal Carolina, one of eight away contests. The Chanticleers are one of five non-conference opponents on the docket before a 12-game Colonial Athletic Association gauntlet begins at Northeastern on Sept. 7.

"It's an advantage to be playing in the Hawk's Nest eleven times this season," said Neal, who begins his sixth season on the bench at his alma mater. "This community really shows out to support us and it's a feeling we are all looking forward to again. It's also great to be playing a full CAA schedule again."

UNCW, 7-7-3 in 2022, will play VCU for the fifth time in six years in its home opener on Aug. 20 and then hosts Liberty one week later on Aug. 27.

The first month of the season concludes at East Carolina on Aug. 31. The Seahawks then wrap up its non-conference slate vs. Queens on Sept. 3.

Following its trip to Boston to face the Huskies, UNCW continues CAA play vs. Hampton (Sept. 14) and Charleston (Sept. 17) at home.

A seven-game October slate begins with a trip to Campbell for the second consecutive season on Oct. 1. The Seahawks and Camels will meet for the 16th time and the first time as CAA opponents.

UNCW will welcome the league's defending tournament champion Hofstra (Sept. 24) and regular season victor Monmouth (Oct. 15) to the Port City. The Seahawks' battle with the Hawks will mark the 2023 home finale as well as Senior Day.

The Seahawks then close out the regular season with a two-game road trip at Drexel (Oct. 19) and Delaware (Oct. 22).

The First Round of the 2023 CAA Championships begins on Oct. 26 followed by the league semifinal on Oct. 29. The CAA Championship Game is scheduled for Nov. 4.
UNCW will play a pair of preseason home exhibitions vs. Longwood (Aug. 9) and Clemson (Aug. 12).

The friendly vs. the Tigers will be part of a Soccerpalooza doubleheader that begins with a UNCW men's exhibition vs. Old Dominion at 5 p.m. The festivities will include inflatables, food trucks as well as a face painting for children by the UNCW Volleyball team.

Ticket plans are available highlighted by a combo season ticket that includes admission to both Men's and Women's Soccer home games for $60/Adults and $47/Youth (12 and under).

Fans can also purchase just the Women's Soccer-only plans for $40/Adult and $27/Youth (12 and under).

In addition, a Super Seahawk Pass is available for $475 and includes season tickets to Men's and Women's Soccer, Men's and Women's Basketball, and Baseball.

Individual game tickets will go on sale at a later date.
