WILMINGTON, N.C. – Four different players scored goals for UNCW women's soccer as the Seahawks soared past William & Mary 4-1 on a windy Friday night at UNCW Soccer Stadium.
UNCW stretched its unbeaten streak to six matches, improving to 9-3-2 overall on the season. The Seahawks lead the CAA South Division with a league-high 16 points and remain the only unbeaten team in league play with a record of 5-0-1.
With the loss, William & Mary dropped to 4-6-4 overall and 2-2 in the league.
The Seahawks scored four goals in their second straight match for the first time since Aug. 31, 2018.
Hailey Longwell scored in her fourth straight match, netting her team-leading sixth goal of the season in the 24th minute. Longwell currently leads all players in the CAA with 11 points and five goals during conference play.Â
Kayla Adams added a goal and an assist in the victory for the Seahawks. Adams tallied her team-leading fourth assist of the season on Longwell's goal. Adams and teammate Abbey Pierson are currently tied for the most assists in conference play this season with three.
Adams increased the Seahawks' lead to four, finding the back of the net in the 78th minute off a corner kick from freshman midfielder Lindsay Lenhard.
Morgan Hobbs made two saves and earned her eighth win of the 2025 season, improving to 8-3-2 overall and 5-0-1 in the CAA. Hobbs currently has the most wins out of all CAA goalkeepers in conference matches.
Sophomore defender Ava Chuderewicz recorded her first career goal, scoring off a free kick near the corner in the 52nd minute.Â
Ava Vaughan opened the scoring for the Seahawks in the 17th minute, converting on her second penalty kick of the season.Â
Allie Planeaux picked up her second assist of the season on Longwell's strike.
William & Mary held a slight 12-9 advantage in shots, but UNCW had a 6-3 edge in shots on target.
The Seahawks will host Hofstra (4-2-7, 1-1-3 CAA) in a cross-divisional matchup on Thursday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m.
