WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW women's soccer forward Kayla Adams was named Coastal Athletic Association Player of the Week on Monday after scoring a goal and tallying an assist in the Seahawks' 4-1 win against William & Mary last Friday.
Adams, a graduate student from Bellevue, Washington, provided the assist on the match-winning goal for the Seahawks in the 24th minute and scored her second goal of the season in the 78th minute.
Adams leads the Seahawks with four assists and is currently part of a three-way tie for the most assists in conference play with three.
The Seahawks remain unbeaten in the CAA and sit in first place in the CAA South Division with a 5-0-1 record and a league-high 16 points.
