Men's Tennis Announces Strong Spring Schedule

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Highlighted by matches against five programs that participated in the NCAA men's tennis regionals, defending Coastal Athletic Association champion UNCW announced its schedule for the 2024 season.

"We are very excited about our spring schedule," said UNCW Head Coach Mait Dubois. "We are always striving to be among the best teams in the country and this schedule is loaded with opportunities. We are also excited to be hosting so many quality teams here at home and have two excellent home tournaments."

Seven of UNCW opponents finished the 2023 season ranked in the ITA's top 75 nationally.

The Seahawks open the spring with UCF on Jan. 15 in Conway, S.C., opening a stretch that sees them play six of their first eight matches on the road.

Included in that stretch are road tests at South Alabama (Feb. 8), American Athletic Conference finalist Tulane (Feb. 9) and SEC member LSU (Feb. 11). To close out the eight-match stretch are tests at Georgia Tech and Georgia State.

UNCW hosts Coastal Carolina on Feb. 2 to open its home slate and welcomes Southern Conference champion East Tennessee State on Feb. 16.

The Seahawks host a pair of tournaments on Mar. 12-17 and Mar. 22-24. UT Arlington, who won the WAC, will compete in the second Battle of the Beach (Mar. 22-24) and take on UNCW on Mar. 22.

UNCW visits Sun Belt Conference Champion Old Dominion on Apr. 11.

Five CAA rivals appear on the schedule in Campbell (Mar. 2), William & Mary (Mar.17), Delaware (Mar. 27) and Drexel (Mar. 29) visiting the UNCW Tennis Complex. The Seahawks head to the College of Charleston on Mar. 4.
