Isley Posts 11th Career Top-5 Finish

CHARLESTON, S.C. – UNCW senior Walker Isley vaulted 12 spots in the final round to post his 11th career top-5 finish on Tuesday when he tied for second at the Daniel Island Intercollegiate at Ralston Creek Course.

Isley (72-70-68=21) played the final round at four-under-par to make the jump and finish a stroke off the lead. With this finish, he moved into a tie for ninth on UNCW's career top-10 finishes list.

South Carolina's Frankie Harris earned medalist honors at seven-under for the tournament. Isley tied Melan Dhaubhadel of Louisiana Monroe for second at six-under.

Middle Tennessee State held off VCU for the tournament win, topping the Rams by two strokes at 10-under for the tournament. UNCW finished 11th in its fall finale.

Isley, who recorded four birdies over the final 18 holes, finished the three-day event with 11 birdies and he played par 4's at three-under, ranking fifth among the field.
