Lanz Named Preseason All-CAA Honorable Mention

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW senior Katie Lanz was named to the Colonial Athletic Association preseason honorable mention team in a vote of the league's 11 head coaches.

As an outside hitter, Lanz led the Seahawks in kills with 261 last season, averaging 2.56 kills per set.

Defensively, she collected 162 digs (1.59 per set) and totaled 32 blocks.

The Seahawks were picked tied for ninth with William & Mary.

Towson earned seven first-place votes to defend its title.

Elon's Leah Daniel was named the preseason player of the year.
