Men's Golf Enters Final Round Down Nine Strokes

SAINT HELENA ISLAND, S.C. – UNCW shaved two strokes off its score from Sunday's opening round but could not make up any ground as leader College of Charleston carded a 14-under-par 274 in the middle round of the Colonial Athletic Association Championships on Monday at the Cotton Dike Course.

Patrick Sparks lead four Seahawks with par or better rounds with a three-under-par 69. Both Lansdon Robbins and Sander Akeren were two-under followed by Walker Isley at even-par.

Sparks moved into third place while Isley dropped back into a tie for fourth. Robbins, meanwhile, jumped six spots into a tie for 10th.

CofC's Nevill Ruiter and Kieron van Wyk in first and second, respectively, while Zach Reuland is tied for fourth.

The third and final round tees off at 8 a.m. on holes 1 and 10 while the Seahawks will start at 9:12 a.m. on hole one along side leader CofC and James Madison's individuals.
