Lara Earns CAA Weekly T&F Honor

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW freshman Donovan Lara has been selected the Colonial Athletic Association's Men's Track & Field Athlete of the Week after achieving a personal best in the high jump for the second consecutive week.
 
The Seagrove, N.C., jumper cleared 6-10.25 to finish third in the event at South Carolina's Gamecock Invitational last Saturday (April 16) at Cregger Track in Columbia, S.C. Donovan's previous high of 6-8 came the week before at the Duke Invitational.
 
A graduate of Eastern Randolph High School, Lara is ranked 31st in the NCAA East Region and is tied for 60th in the NCAA this season. The 6-10.25 mark also tied for the third best all-time at UNCW.
