UNCW Takes Control Of Seahawk Intercollegiate

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Led by three Seahawks in the top eight on the player leader board, UNCW will carry a 12-stroke lead into the final round of the Seahawk Intercollegiate on Monday at the Country Club of Landfall.

The Seahawks, who are bidding for their third consecutive Seahawk Intercollegiate title, were six-under-par in the first round and followed it up by going five-under in the second round. VCU sits in second place followed by Francis Marion, James Madison and Kansas and Wright State, who are tied, round out the top five in order.

Mitchell Vance of FMU sits atop the medalist board at seven-under, one stroke ahead of Wright State's Tyler Goecke and Walker Isley of UNCW.
Isley, who owns a pair of top five finishes in his last two tournaments, including his first collegiate win, opened the tournament going four-under and shared the tournament lead after 18 holes.

UNCW's Lansdon Robbins is tied for fifth with William Duquette of Kansas at four-under.

Rounding out the Seahawk contingent in the top eight is Drew Hackett, who is tied for eighth at two-under.

The third and final round tees off at 8:30 a.m. in shotgun fashion.
