Seahawk Nation Jubilant Over CBI Title

Social media was abuzz late Wednesday night and into Thursday morning in the aftermath of the UNCW men's basketball team's 96-90 double overtime thriller over Middle Tennessee State in the championship game of the 2022 Roman College Basketball Invitational.

The Seahawks added another chapter to a storybook season that began with a road loss in early November, hit a snag in the championship game of the CAA Tournament and culminated in the school's first postseason title at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach. Here's a look at what some Seahawk fans posted about last night's iconic game:

Unbelievable. This team had 10 comeback wins from 10 points or more down in the second half this year. They just did not quit ! I was point guard on the Seahawks team in 1957-58 when UNCW was a junior college (Wilmington Junior College). We finished 2nd in the conference, losing to then Campbell College whose star player was (believe it or not) Gaylord Perry, the Hall of Fame pitcher.-Jerry Taylor
