Isley Leads UNCW At One-Over In Final Round

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – UNCW sophomore Walker Isley carded a one-over-par 71 in the final round to pace UNCW in its spring schedule opener at the Gator Invitational on Sunday at the Mark Bostick Golf Course.

Host and nationally-ranked Florida finished off its wire-to-wire win, topping third-ranked Oklahoma State by 12 strokes for the tournament win. South Florida, Georgia Southern and a second Florida team rounded out the top five.

The Seahawks finished 14th overall, besting nationally-ranked Liberty by 10 strokes.

Florida's Fred Biondi earned medalist honors, besting teammate Ricky Castillo by four strokes.

Lansdon Robbins led the Seahawk lineup, finishing tied for 28th at three-over for the tournament.

UNCW next competes on Mar. 6-8, at the Tiger Invitational presented by Jason Dufner in Auburn, Ala.
