Women's Tennis Team Tackles Road Schedule

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW women's tennis team heads out on the road for the first time this weekend for a pair of matches at Campbell and N.C. Central.

The Seahawks, who opened the spring season last weekend with a 4-3 victory over visiting Presbyterian at the UNCW courts, are playing the first of six true road matches this spring.

UNCW will face the Camels on Friday, Feb. 11, at 2 p.m. and then shoot over to Durham to battle the Eagles at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 12.

"We're excited to go on the road as a team," said Hans Olsen, UNCW's seventh-year head women's tennis coach. "It will be a good opportunity for us to see what we can do. We expect a good match at Campbell with the chance to battle against a good team. We're looking forward to the competition this weekend."

The team's next home match is Friday, Feb. 18, at 1 p.m. vs. rival East Carolina.
