Women's Tennis Continues Roll With 4-3 Win

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – UNCW continued its roll against Coastal Athletic Association rivals on Thursday with a 4-3 win at Campbell.

The Seahawks improved to 10-4 with their second straight victory, and Campbell dropped to 6-12.

Alex Borcich, who remained perfect at 6-0 at number six singles, drew the Seahawks even with a 6-2, 6-0 win, and Simay Keles made it 2-1 UNCW with an impressive 6-1, 6-4 win at number four singles. Keles improved to 7-2 with the win.

Campbell managed to level the match at 2-all following a victory at number three singles.

However, Lucia Gomez's 6-2, 7-6 win at number five singles and Elif Albayrak's on court number two (6-3, 6-3) were points three and four to clinch the victory for the Seahawks.

Campbell went up 1-0 by winning the doubles point.

The Seahawks conclude the regular season with a road match on Apr. 11 at the College of Charleston.

The conference tournament is set for Apr. 17-19, in Williamsburg, Va.
