UNCW Takes Fifth At Wolfpack Intercollegiate

RALEIGH, N.C. – Back by a top-six finish by junior Walker Isley, UNCW finished fifth overall at four-over in the Wolfpack Intercollegiate on Sunday at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, N.C.

Chattanooga won the team title, moving up three spots in the final round with a 16-under-par score and top 37th-ranked Lipscomb by nine strokes. Host NC State was third followed by Miami (Ohio) and UNCW.

Paul Conroy of Chattanooga carded a 10-under-par 62 on Sunday to jump 15 spots into the lead and claim medalist honors at 10-under for the tournament.UNCG's Nick Lyerly and Maximilian Steinlechner of NC State tied for second at eight-under.

Isley used five birdies to finish four under for the third and final round and tied for sixth.

Freshman Gray Mitchum placed 16th overall, finishing one-over for the tournament.

The Seahawks close out their fall schedule on Oct. 21-23 with the Williams Cup, hosted by North Carolina, at Eagle Point Golf Club.
