Baseball Preview: at North Carolina

Tuesday's game will be broadcast on the ACC Network

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – UNCW visits North Carolina on Tuesday as the Seahawks close out the regular season with a four-game road swing which includes a three-game series at 16th-ranked Charlotte that begins on Thursday.

The Seahawks and Tar Heels are playing just once this season as the ACC decided to increase conference games and reduce the number of non-conference games in light of Covid protocols during the season.

The two programs last met at the 2019 Chapel Hill Regional in which UNC edged the Seahawks, 7-6, on the opening day of the regional.

UNCW heads to Charlotte as the two programs will meet for the first time since the 2002 season. Charlotte Head Coach Robert Woodard was a Seahawk assistant coach during the 2013 season.

Charlotte, like UNCW, has returned to full capacity at Hayes Stadium for the upcoming series. Tickets are on sale HERE.
