Volleyball Preview: at Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Seahawks visit Charlotte this Friday for a match as both programs look to remain sharp with conference championships looming later this month.

First-serve is set for 5 p.m. at Halton Arena and the match will be streamed on CUSA.tv.

UNCW (3-8) has won its last three outings, all going five sets. The Seahawks began their winning streak against Colonial Athletic Association rival College of Charleston on Mar. 14. CofC bolted out to a quick 2-0 lead before the Seahawks stormed back to win the next three sets, including a 15-13 win in the deciding set.
In a sweep of two matches at William & Mary, the Seahawks rallied from deficits both days to win in five. UNCW is 3-4 in five-set matches this season.

Charlotte (11-4), meanwhile, looks to ride the momentum of a six-match winning streak into Friday's match. The 49ers are 9-3 in Conference USA and have clinched a berth and the second seed in the conference tournament, which begins on Apr. 1, in Hattiesburg, Miss.
